Amazing free zoo. I free up blocks from here and spent a good chunk of my life there fishing, trail riding and seeing the animals. The rotary lights in the winter are also a must see!
Have been going here most of my life. Has a really cool drive thru light show done by rotary for a donation during Christmas season every year that is very popular. You can also walk through and there is hot chocolate, hot dogs, and a little shop u can warm up in. Other than that during the summer months there's the park, zoo, and hefko pool & disc golf right across. There are several walking & biking trails throughout the woods in the area and around the park. Could easily spend a day by yourself or with family/friends. Great place!
Awsome Zoo!! Best bear exhibit is the best I have ever been to. The lights are amazing around Christmas. You can walk or if it's cold, stay in your car and drive around.
This isn't a fair review. We were there for the Christmas lights that they have each year (4 stars ) The zoo is all lit up and we enjoy going to see it. I'd recommend walking, not driving through. That said I've been there for just the zoo before (3 stars). It is ok for being a free zoo. I would not travel far just for the zoo portion. I have not been there since they added the bears. I've heard that they are a nice addition.
Great zoo for little kids. No fee but donations are accepted. The park right next to the zoo is also perfect for a long outing with little ones.
