I have worked here for 4 years and it is a great place to work and the people are very supportive.
I'm just so upset. We love Roehl but You give everything to a company for what? You stay out months at a time & away from your family, for what? Trying to provide a better life, beginning to think you can't here! Have a amazing team in Marshfield that's never let us down but we get sent to west coast, get a new planner and sit, sit, sit! Everytime! We communicate and They know a day in advance to start looking for a load and still we set. Everytime! Regular planner can't do anything to help or they would. They send emails over and over. This company is going to loose a professional, devoted, loyal driver who's never been late! They don't care! How can they keep hiring if there's no loads? We are purchasing our truck, He need to run. He's never late, generally a day early. Need over 3000 miles a week to succeed and there's absolutely no reason not to get the miles if you keep running as he does. The ONLY time we ever sit is when sent to the West coast, (CA,NV,AZ) The only time we struggle to Net is when sent to the West Coast! Is there really no loads leaving the West Coast or do the West Coast planners take care of their own 1st. Funny that we are on several load boards we have access to and we're finding plenty of good paying loads. This has got to stop! No net check 2 weeks in a row and it's a week before Christmas and we're setting again. Why send us West if were only going to get 1 load a week that only covers the truck payment, fuel and nothing else. This doesn't happen in the Midwest or East. Our regular planner, & dispatcher is absolutely phenomenal and have never let us down but this West Cost sitting is going to make us leave. Why stay out here away from family and make 1 net check a month! This is heartbreaking as we love Roehl. 14 years of experience and could have gone to any company but chose Roehl. As everyone else we have a family to support. Stop hiring, stop giving sign-on bonuses to new drivers if you can't keep your loyal, on time, accident free drivers rolling. Not even a sign-on bonus was givin when hired because the area hired from. Should have known then. Thank you to the amazing team in Marshfield (R & C) but we can't continue to set, especially at Christmas with 4 children and grandchildren. Heartbreaking as we thought this was a company to grow old with.

When you quit, don't expect to get any help getting home. I drove for 19 years and have never been treated as poorly as I have been treated here.
Drivers who haven't worked elsewhere won't appreciate this company. Hometime is excellent, I was out 11 off 3, occasionally opting to stay out 14 to be off 4. Most companies are 14-21 for 2 days, barely. Fleet managers have to spend a week with a driver-trainer. Living in a truck. It's not quite the same but they do appreciate what we have to contend with better than some college kid who's never left home.
