All in all, they get 4 stars, and would have 5 if they had a bit of a policy for food allergies.
Very disappointing.
I usually get a spider roll as a sushi appetizer and then move on to filet mignon with chicken or a lobster tail. You can’t go wrong.
Anniversary reservations were made 10-24; 4 people at 6:30 on 10-28. Arrived early and watched others who arrived later get seated. About 6:45 we inquired as to when we'd be seated and were told "a few minutes". At almost 7: we asked again and were told "about half an hour". We may have stayed if complimentary drinks or appetizers, etc. had been offered to compensate. We left. . .wondering if this is a common occurrence??
We loved our food, what my husband could eat, anyways. Not very allergy friendly; not a lot of detail on the menu to know what kind of soup, and the serving lady couldn't tell my husband what kind of mushrooms they used. Then, even though he mentioned an allergy to mushrooms, no further assistance was offered; the vegetables were all cooked communally with mushrooms, and so he couldn't eat them. Other than soup and veggies though, he loved his lamb and I loved my chicken. Calamari was good but mild.
Excellent food with excellent service, best in marshfield!
The food is amazing and it's fun to watch the chefs prepare everything in front of you. It's also a great place to celebrate a birthday. If you are planning on going with a large group it's best to get your reservation well in advance though, it can fill up quickly.
I love Royal Tokyo. It’s one of my favorite restaurants in the area. I have been here countless times and each time I get great service and delicious food. The miso sauce over rice could be a meal on it’s own for me, but I also love getting the sushi and main courses.
